Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, have followed each other on Instagram more than a year after their separation.

Checks on Monday showed that Annie had followed 2Baba’s official Instagram account, with the singer subsequently following her back.

The development comes amid a change in 2Baba’s Instagram connection with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru. The pair no longer follow each other on the platform.

2Baba and Annie got married in May 2012 and have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.

Their separation became public in January 2025 after 2Baba announced that their marriage had ended, bringing an end to their 13-year union.

The singer later confirmed his relationship with Osawaru, proposed to her in February 2025, and married the Edo State lawmaker in a private ceremony in July 2025.

Throughout the controversy surrounding his separation from Annie, 2Baba has maintained that Osawaru was not responsible for the breakdown of his marriage.

The latest Instagram development comes days after reports of an alleged confrontation between 2Baba and Osawaru at the opening of a lounge in Abuja.

A social media user alleged that Osawaru interrupted a gathering where 2Baba was expected to perform and demanded to speak with him after waiting for several hours. Another user later shared a video purportedly showing part of the incident.

The pair have previously been at the centre of a public dispute.

In December 2025, 2Baba’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, appeared on Daddy Freeze’s livestream, where they accused Osawaru of seeking greater control over the singer’s finances and career.

2Baba later joined the livestream and confronted the former managers over their discussion of his private affairs.

Shortly afterwards, an argument between the singer and Osawaru could be heard off-camera. Their exchange became heated before the livestream was abruptly ended.
