Members of the Obosi Urban Community Voters Forum have declared their support for Engr. Eric Anyamene, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The declaration was made during a meeting of the forum in Obosi, where members expressed confidence in Engr. Anyamene’s leadership qualities, accessibility and commitment to issues affecting the people at the grassroots.

Speaking during the meeting, members of the forum said their decision was influenced by what they described as his consistent engagement with the people and his understanding of the needs of the constituency.

One of the speakers at the gathering said:

“We are supporting Eric Anyamene because we believe in his capacity and his connection with the people. Representation is about having someone who listens, understands the challenges of the people and is ready to work for them.”

The forum highlighted the importance of electing leaders with a clear understanding of development needs, especially in areas such as youth development, education, healthcare and infrastructure.

They encouraged eligible voters to remain committed to the democratic process and support candidates they believe can provide effective representation.

Responding to the endorsement, Engr. Eric Anyamene appreciated the forum for the confidence reposed in him and assured them of his continued commitment to people-focused leadership.

“I am grateful for this show of support and trust. It reinforces the responsibility before me to continue listening to the people and to work towards a representation that reflects the aspirations of every community in Idemili North and South,” he said.

The NDC candidate reiterated that effective representation begins with understanding the concerns of the people and creating opportunities that improve the lives of residents.

The meeting ended with members of the Obosi Urban Community Voters Forum reaffirming their support and commitment to participating actively in the 2027 electoral process.
