The All Progressives Congress has released the framework that will guide its 2026 presidential primary election.
In a statement issued on Thursday night, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, confirmed that the guidelines were approved by the National Working Committee.
As part of the arrangements, the party has set up both a Presidential Primary Election Committee and an Appeal Committee. It has also appointed state coordinators and collation officers to oversee the process across the country.
According to the statement, the structure is intended to align the exercise with the party’s constitution, the Electoral Act, and internal standards for candidate selection.
The guidelines outline the administrative steps for conducting the primary and the mechanisms for resolving disputes that may arise during the process.
