The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit that sought to prevent Goodluck Jonathan from participating in the 2027 presidential election.
Delivering judgment, the court held that the action constituted an abuse of judicial process and ordered that it be struck out.
The court further imposed a cost of ₦20 million against the plaintiff in favour of Jonathan.
An additional ₦1 million was awarded against the plaintiff in favour of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
