The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reminded eligible Nigerians that the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will end on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The commission issued the reminder on Saturday, urging citizens who are yet to register or update their voter information to complete the process before the deadline.
In a notice shared on its official X account, INEC said eligible Nigerians could complete their voter registration online through its dedicated CVR portal or visit designated registration centres nationwide for assistance.
The electoral body stated that registration centres, including INEC state offices, local government area offices, and other designated centres, would remain open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including weekends, until the exercise closes.
INEC encouraged Nigerians requiring support with the registration process to visit any of its designated offices to complete their registration in person.
The commission said the CVR exercise is part of preparations for the 2027 general elections, allowing eligible citizens to be added to the national voters’ register and enabling registered voters to update their details where necessary.
INEC advised citizens who are yet to participate in the exercise to do so before the Sunday deadline.
