The Federal Government has announced plans to end subsidy payments in the power sector from 2027.
Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, disclosed this during a media interactive session on Friday, saying the government is working towards transitioning away from the current subsidy system.
The planned move is expected to mark a major shift in the country’s electricity market as the government reviews its approach to funding the sector.
