U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked reactions online after describing rapper Nicki Minaj as "so hot" while introducing her at a White House Rose Garden luncheon on Monday.
Welcoming the award-winning rapper to the event, Trump praised Minaj's talent, friendship and public support, calling her a respected figure.
"We also have a woman that is respected and so hot. She is such a great friend, a fantastic person, a woman that is respected by everybody, and she's got real talent; we have Nicki Minaj," Trump said.
The remark quickly went viral, with clips from the luncheon circulating widely across social media.
Minaj appeared to embrace the president's comments. Sharing photos from the event on X, she wrote:
"Whoa! #WhiteHouseBarbie with her favorite President of all time!"
The White House appearance marks another public show of support between the rapper and Trump. Earlier this year, Minaj joined the president at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, where she described herself as "probably the president's number one fan."
She also dismissed criticism over her political views, saying she was unconcerned by public backlash or negative comments about her support for Trump.
Trump's latest remarks have since generated widespread discussion online, adding another chapter to the pair's increasingly high-profile public relationship.
