The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested three men who appeared in a viral video displaying firearms and other tactical equipment.
The suspects — Umar Babangida (25), Adamu Yeti (22), and Yahaya Idris (24) — are all residents of Rijana, Kaduna State. In the video, they were seen carrying AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and communication devices while dressed in camouflage uniforms.
According to the FCT Police Command, the footage triggered an immediate response after it circulated online. The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Sanusi, ordered an investigation to trace the origin of the video and identify those involved.
Investigators reportedly used digital forensic analysis and intelligence tracking to locate the suspects in Runji Village, Zuba.
Security operatives carried out a coordinated early-morning operation at about 3:22 a.m. on May 25, leading to the arrest of all three suspects without incident in Zuba.
Police authorities say further investigations are ongoing to determine how the suspects obtained the weapons and whether they are linked to other criminal activities.
