The Federal Government has opened applications for the free registration of 250,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through a partnership between the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The initiative is designed to help more businesses formalise their operations by removing the cost of business name registration.
Under the programme, eligible entrepreneurs can register their business names with the CAC at no cost after completing their registration on the SMEDAN portal. Successful applicants will receive a SMEDAN Unique Identification Number (SUIN), which is required to complete the registration process.
How to Apply
Applicants are required to:

* Create an account using a valid email address and phone number.
* Verify the email address and sign in.
* Complete their personal and business profiles.
* Submit the application to obtain a SMEDAN Unique Identification Number (SUIN).
* Follow the instructions provided to complete the free CAC business name registration.
