A woman who says she was born with Sickle Cell Disease has drawn attention online after claiming that her symptoms and disease markers disappeared following a prayer experience.
She shared her story on X, where she first asked users whether they believe in miracles before posting details of what she described as a dramatic change in her health.
In her account, she said she lived with repeated pain episodes and long-term complications for years. She also stated that her condition had worsened significantly by her late 20s, with doctors allegedly warning her about a shortened life expectancy due to organ damage linked to the illness.
She described a turning point during a severe crisis episode when she prayed while receiving morphine treatment. According to her, the pain stopped suddenly.
“I was born with sickle cell disease. I had crisis after crisis… doctors said I wouldn’t see 35,” she wrote, adding that the episode marked a change in her health trajectory.
She further claimed that follow-up medical tests showed normal hemoglobin levels and no detectable sickle cell markers. She also said genetic testing reportedly returned negative results for the condition, and that she has remained free of crises for about four years.
“My hematologist calls me the walking miracle file,” she added, attributing her recovery to faith.
The post has since circulated widely, attracting mixed reactions. While some users described her experience as a personal miracle, others questioned the medical interpretation of her claims and called for caution in drawing conclusions from individual cases.
No independent medical verification of her statements has been publicly confirmed.
