Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has praised President Bola Tinubu for approving the design and procurement of two major road projects in the South-East, describing the development as a significant step towards improving infrastructure in the region.
The approved projects are the 108-kilometre Otuocha–Anam–Abaji Road and the 150-kilometre Oba–Nnewi–Uga–Ihube (Okigwe Junction) Road, which will be dualised.
Soludo said the roads would serve as important transportation links, connecting communities and improving the movement of people and goods across the South-East, South-South and North Central regions.
He said the projects would support economic growth by improving access between key commercial areas and reducing transportation challenges faced by residents and businesses.
The governor also commended the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, for his contribution to advancing the projects, expressing confidence that their completion would have a lasting impact on the region.
Soludo said the approval reflected the Federal Government’s focus on infrastructure development and would contribute to the long-term transformation of the South-East.
