The Igbo Mandate Movement Group (IMMG) has accused the Abia State Government of allegedly sponsoring a recent Tracka report on Federal Government projects in Bende Federal Constituency, describing it as a malicious attempt to damage the reputation of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Igboeli Arinze, and National Secretary, Ekene Obiora, the group alleged that the report, published on July 15, 2026 and removed from Tracka's Facebook page within 24 hours was politically motivated and timed to weaken the resolve of Bende constituents ahead of elections in which Kalu is seen as a leading opposition figure in Abia State.
IMM claimed the swift deletion of the report, after its claims were disputed, exposed what it called a deliberate scheme allegedly backed by the state government to discredit Kalu's development record.

The group cited the Amaeke–Isiegbu–Umuhu Ezechi Road, cassava processing centres at Ezeukwu and Umuhu Ezechi, and 579 solar streetlights across Igbere A, Igbere B and Ugwueke/Ezeukwu wards as evidence of what it described as tangible, verifiable projects benefiting residents daily.

According to IMMG, the road remains fully motorable and in active use by farmers, traders and students, while the cassava centres have been completed and electrified, with equipment installation pending as the responsibility of the implementing federal agency. The streetlights, it said, continue to improve security and support commerce in the affected communities.

IMMG urged the people of Bende to reject what it termed a "manufactured scandal" and called on Tracka to clarify the circumstances surrounding the report's removal. The group also urged the media to seek verification rather than amplify unverified claims against elected officials.
The Deputy Speaker's Office had earlier described the Tracka report as false and misleading, insisting the projects were delivered and functional. Tracka is yet to respond publicly to the allegations raised by IMMG.
