The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election, saying economic hardship and public dissatisfaction will influence voters’ decisions.

Ayodele stated this while addressing members of his church in Lagos, where he backed the recent comments of Archbishop Emeritus of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, on the state of the nation.

The cleric said Nigerians were experiencing hunger and anger, adding that Onaiyekan should not be criticised for speaking about the challenges facing the country.

“Leave him, if Tinubu likes, let him take it or not, but there is anger and hunger in the land,” Ayodele said.

He warned that attempts to gain voters’ support through the distribution of rice and money would not prevent Nigerians from expressing their grievances during the election.

“By the election, you will see how people will show their grievances. Rice and money will not stop it. We are telling you to do the right thing,” he said.

Ayodele also cautioned the President against relying on advisers who, according to him, may mislead him.

“All these surrogate aides will push you into a fire that will burn you. Tinubu will lose this election,” he added.
